largeTitanic2 Administration
Governor largeTitanic2
3rd Governor of Ridgeway - November 20th, 2022 - Present
Governor largeTitanic2 was elected Governor in November of 2022, and succeeded then-Governor MedinaLUV as Ridgeway's third Governor.
A former department head, police captain and National Guard veteran, Governor largeTitanic2 understood the needs of the executive branch. An experienced manager and leader, Governor largeTitanic2 brought stability, level-headed judgement, and effective management to the Governor's Office. During the early weeks of his term, Governor largeTitanic2 focused on bringing executive standards up. Cabinet meetings began, and department standards began to gradually increase. Over the first term of the administration, the public noticed a significant rise in the professionalism and activity of the government.
During his first term, Governor largeTitanic2 pushed for major firearms reform. Two new weapons, the Micro and Solami, had been released, and remained legal for all citizens to purchase. While police officers and department leaders wanted these two weapons banned, most citizens still wanted the rights to purchase them. As such, Governor largeTitanic2 signed the State Firearms Act into law, establishing the State Firearms License and banning the unlicensed use of any weapon with a magazine capacity greater than fifteen rounds. Before its eventual amendment, the State Firearms Act garnered lawsuits from Ridgeway's National Rifle Association, which went all the way to the Supreme Court. Ultimately, the Court ruled in favor of the SFA, and it remained in place, even though the relevant case did not challenge the law directly. The State Firearms Act required the Ridgeway County Sheriff's Office, and later the State Police, to issue firearms licenses to law-abiding residents of Ridgeway who had met certain requirements, such as not having any firearms related felonies.
Also during his first term, Governor largeTitanic2 took the controversial action of signing the Modified Sedition Act into law. This bill declared the United States of America and Boulder County, where the Governor had spent years working in departments and as Vice President, as an enemy of Ridgeway. All of Boulder's department leaders were permanently prohibited from holding any major position within Ridgeway. Implementation of the MSA, as it would come to be known, was difficult and lengthy.
Some of the top-line accomplishments of Large's administration included cutting expungement times in half, making courts efficient, preserving and protecting firearm rights, significantly decreasing unemployment, effective department management, protecting our community from two wars, improving the fairness of our criminal code, and promoting activity of the community.
Lt. Governor JoaoIsHuman
4th Lt. Governor of Ridgeway - November 20th, 2022 - August 6th, 2023
Joao joined Ridgeway in 2020, shortly after the Ridgeway County Transit Authority's founding, as the U.S. Secretary of Transportation. Previously, he had served as Speaker of the House of Representatives, where he lead a tumultuous Congress through the birth of Ridgeway. Initially joining RCTA as an outsider and overseer, Joao fell in love with the Ridgeway culture, and decided to leave the Department of Transportation and join RCTA exclusively only a few months after its' inception in early 2021.
At RCTA, Joao continues to be a steadfast, drama-free leader, dedicated to the success of the department in fulfilling its mission. He later joined the Ridgeway County Sheriff's Office.
Joao and Large had the chance to work directly together in RCTA while Large served as Director of Transit. They grew to appreciate each other's strengths and weaknesses, and when Large ran for Governor, he couldn't think of anyone better to serve as Lieutenant Governor.
Lieutenant Governor JoaoIsHuman resigned on August 6th, 2023.
