The Director of Communciations reports to the Chief of Staff and is responsible for organizing and managing the Press Corps, hosting regular press conferences, assisting the Governor in writing major speeches and press statements, and representing the administration in the public eye.

Some of the core responsibilites of this position include:

• Organizing and managing the Press Corps

• Hosting regular press conferences

• Releasing statements to the press from the Governor

• Introducing the Governor and Lieutenant Governor at major events and press conferences

• Assisting the Governor in the writing of major addresses and speeches

• Representing the administration on a daily basis to reporters and the general public alike

• Advising the Governor on day-to-day decisions.
